What hackathons taught me

• Prioritize clearly: deliver one reliable end-to-end flow before polishing extras.
• Design for demo pressure: logs, dashboards, and recovery plans are non-negotiable.
• Communicate constantly: teams that share updates frequently ship better outcomes.

What workshops improved

Leading and attending workshops sharpened my ability to explain Kubernetes and observability topics simply, which also improved how I design developer-facing systems.

Open-source and community events create high-quality feedback loops. You learn faster by discussing architecture choices, receiving critique, and iterating in public.
